Helen & Gary - St John The Divine, Manchester

A few weeks back I was lucky enough to be Helen and Gary’s Manchester Wedding Photographer for their big day in Wythenshawe, on the outskirts of Manchester City Centre. Gaz and Helen are the kind of super relaxed couple that are just great fun to be around. There was dancing during bridal preparations, bagpipes for the ceremony and whiskey shots galore during the evening reception… and most importantly I think we genuinely laughed all day long.

I joined Helen at her home with the girls as they all got ready together and had a bit of a boogie while Brad my second shooter for the day headed to Gary’s mums for a morning with the lads. Both parties left for the Church in style, Helen and the girls in a stunning VW Campervan and team Gaz in a super slick Rolls Royce Phantom. Both were greeted at the church with the sound of traditional highland bagpipes, a favourite of Helens. After a pretty emotional ceremony and some lovely group portraits we managed to grab some time in Helen & Gary’s local park for some lovely portraits and a little time alone. We then moved on to the reception venue Raoshi, a local Lebanese restaurant with an exclusive wedding venue within the grounds. After a couple of hilarious speeches and lovely Lebanese food everybody hit the dance floor and partied to that iconic Manchester sound.
