You’ve got some questions

Some frequently asked questions About Wedding Photography

+ How long do you stay?

Pretty much all day, if you want me to! I aim to capture the story of your entire day, so I ideally I would join you first thing in the morning for all the important preparations and stay right through until your evening reception, long after your first dance, capturing those unique dance moves from uncle Stan.

+ We don't like having our picture taken! Can you help?

Very few people do like having their picture taken, myself included. But if you have look back through my site, hopefully you can find confidence in that fact that almost all of the beautiful portraits and relaxed couples you see in them pretty much felt the same way. Being able to put people at ease and find a natural flow through a portrait session is something I like to think i'm pretty good at.

+ Where are you based and how far will you travel?

I'm based in sunny Yorkshire, just on the outskirts of Leeds but I'm more than happy to travel anywhere to shoot an amazing wedding.

+ What camera do you use?

I shoot with two professional Sony mirrorless cameras using a wide range of professional lenses. I also have backup equipment with me at every wedding just incase I do something daft like fall into a fountain.

+ How many photographers will there be?

My main full day wedding package includes just one photographer, me. If you would like a second photographer to join me for extra coverage of your day including groom preparations then that can be added for an additional cost.

+ Do we have to provide you with food?

Although not essential a hot meal on your day would be greatly appreciated. Most venues offer vendor meals so it's not another head on your main meal budget. However if it isn't possible then don't panic, just let me know and I'll bring my Postman Pat lunch box.

+ Are you insured?

Yes for both public liability and indemnity so you and your venue have absolutely nothing to worry about.

+ How many pictures do we get?

There is no upper limit to the amount of pictures you will receive however, I usually aim to deliver at least 400 hand edited unique images from your day.

+ Can we get the Raw or unedited pictures?

In the politest way possible, no. Only half of my work is actually done on your wedding day, the other half is adding my unique look and style of edit to all your images afterwards. Releasing these into the wild without my personal edit would be like a painter releasing a sketch and not adding any colour or a chef handing you a plate of ingredients.

+ How long will it be before we see our pictures?

Typically you will see a selection of highlights within 7 days from your wedding day. You entire collection will then usually be ready around 4-6 weeks later, however during busy periods this time can be a little longer but I will keep you updated.

+ Can our Friends and Family get prints?

Yes! All the shots from your wedding are available to view and order as prints from your password protected online gallery. Alternativly I have no issues with you giving them the digital file to sort their own prints

+ Do you shoot traditional group shots

Yes! These are the ones that mum and dad always ask for so it would be rude not to. I recommend aiming for around 10 groups shots which will usually take between 15 and 20 minutes to get through on your day, depending on how well the drink is flowing.

+ What if it rains?

We are in England so the possibility of rain on your wedding is something to consider. That being said you shouldn't worry about it. Pack an umbrella or two just incase and maybe a pair of wellies should the heavens open. If it does rain on the day the best thing you can do is embrace it, try to enjoy it and where possible I will use it to capture something spectacular for you.

+ What do we need to do to book you?

Once you have been in touch and asked me to shoot your day I will send you two things; a wedding agreement to look over and sign digitally online and information on how you pay your booking deposit. Once I have received both the signed agreement and booking deposit you have successfully booked me for your day and we can starting counting down the days together.
